Hi, I’m Claudia
~ nice to meet you!
I have always been intrigued by the human mind, especially by the subconscious. What makes us do what we do? How do we make decisions? Why do we behave in a certain way?
Searching for clues to these inquiries, I studied psychology at the University of Zurich. After my bachelor’s degree, I realized that I did not want to become a psychotherapist. Diagnosing and analysing mental illnesses for a living did not excite me enough. Therefore, I decided to follow my second passion – art – and moved to different parts of Europe to study art history.
During this time, I learned that the longer you study a work of art, the more details and subtleties you may find. You can apply exactly the same approach to people. I see the human being as a work of art with so many different facets. Behind the human eyes there is a whole universe that wants to be discovered.
After pursuing a career in the art world, working in art galleries and art fairs, I entered the world of finance. As an event manager in a private bank I found myself in a very demanding and stressful environment. My mental well-being had suffered. I couldn’t sleep well, my confidence was declining day by day. This negative evolution, coupled with the lack of fulfilment, made me realize that this job was not for me.
However, from the outside my world looked perfect. I had a well-paid job, a loving relationship and a dreamy apartment in the heart of Zurich. One day, this “perfect world” came crumbling down. In the shortest period of time my three pillars of “safety” – safe job, safe relationship, safe home were gone.
Even when you know deeply that all of it was not meant for you – when big changes like those happen – it creates chaos and turns your life upside down. A period of deep pain, anxiety and uncertainty followed soon after.
And that’s when in my life, I truly learned what the word “resilience” means and the importance of it. The capacity to recover quickly from difficult times was immensely improved through getting help, when needed.
We normally go to see a doctor when we break our leg. But to whom do we go when our heart is in pain? So, I went to see a hypnotherapist. And it changed my life.
Thanks to the deep work with my subconscious mind I could overcome this “shock” and most of all the self-limiting beliefs which were holding me back throughout my life. Calmness, confidence and a keen understanding of being present in the moment were programmed in my subconscious.
Hypnotherapy was for me the most effective way to build my resilience. And it was then through coaching that I was capable to envision my future and concur my goals. All of this accompanied by my yoga practice which lifted my presence in my body to another level.
I designed my own method of working with the spirit, mind and body. Through this journey of discovery, I now offer a holistic approach of therapy to my clients.
